Nexia Australia Sydney today announced it would merge with Sydney accountancy practice, Hill Rogers, from July 1 adding more than 50 people to its firm.
Managing Director, Paul Lenton, said the merger consolidated a growth strategy consistent with the Nexia International strategy to be Top 10 in all major commercial centres and would benefit both firms’ staff and clients.
“The merger will give Hill Rogers’ staff significant development opportunities through our global network and provide additional specialised skills to both firms’ existing clients.
“They will benefit from accessing a better-resourced, broader-skilled and more diverse accounting and advisory firm,” Mr Lenton said.
“Both the Directors of Nexia Australia Sydney and Hill Rogers are focused on client care and the delivery of friendly, personalised service. The merger will create a firm with a sustainable future and a culture that supports personal growth, purpose, meaning and measurable outcomes.”
Hill Rogers Executive Chair, John Wilcox, said Nexia Australia Sydney was a great partner for the firm because of its collegiate culture and approach to client service.
“It was very clear from our first meeting – Nexia Australia – Sydney embraces our aspirations and are keen to work with us on existing significant projects to improve expected success.
“Our clients will also be able to access the substantial global network that is Nexia International and the benefits that this alliance brings,” Mr Wilcox said.
“Hill Rogers is a well-respected, client-focused, professional CBD chartered accountancy and advisory firm with a great reputation, which, after our merger, will continue with Nexia Australia Sydney.”
Nexia Australia has seven firms throughout the country employing more than 450 people and is part of Nexia International, which has 710 offices in 122 countries.
The global network employs more than 30,000 people and recently announced its financial results for 2018, which broke the US$4B barrier for the first time. Nexia International is the 9th largest accounting firm in the world.
